Good news! Vacation Bible School 2020 is not cancelled, but it will look a little different than it traditionally has in the past. VBS will be virtual July 13-16. These days will consist of a combination of live and pre recorded content to guarantee each child is clearly communicated each day’s Bible story while also enjoying the fun activities VBS has to offer. There will be an in-person gathering July 17 so VBS participants can experience a more “traditional” day of VBS moving through rotations with their class. Time slots for this day must be RSVP’d for. More information on Friday’s in-person gathering will be posted in the coming days.

While this summer is going to look different, I am confident God will use this approach to VBS for His glory as the gospel of Christ is presented to your children. Thank you all for your cooperation and your encouragement in these days. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have.

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

No worries! Virtual VBS will be available on-demand each afternoon so families can work around their own schedules.

What will Friday’s in-person gathering look like?
We will have approximately 3 time slots available for families to RSVP for. VBS participants and their families will come to their 2-hour time slot and move through the 4 rotations (Music, Crafts, Missions, Recreation). Participants will get to spend the day with their teacher, classroom helpers, and other participants in their class.

Can I drop my child off to Friday’s in-person gathering and pick them up afterwards?

No, there will not be any drop offs this day because of the short period of time participants will be on campus. Having parents on campus will help us maintain social distancing and other safety/sanitary precautions.

What steps will be taken to make campus as safe as possible when our family comes on Friday, July 17?

We’re offering 3 time slots for our in-person gathering to minimize the amount of people on campus at once. Each rotation will be located in our more open spaces on campus (sanctuary, old sanctuary, fellowship hall, pavilion). No small classrooms will be in use. Between each time slot, all rotation locations and high trafficked areas will be cleaned to create a safer and sanitary environment for the next group of participants and their guardians.
