SB181

New KY legislation was passed in the spring which took effect on June 27, 2025 aimed at protecting children’s wellbeing by limiting school adults’ untraceable electronic communication with students outside of parental consent.  While there are certainly some challenges with implementation and future revisions/clarifications may indeed occur, Coral Hill Baptist Church is committed to working with families and local school districts according to this law to ensure we are doing everything possible to foster the safety and growth of the students whom He entrusts to us while affirming the parent as the primary discipler and protector of their children.

Below you will find several links where you can learn more about the law as well as policy and implementation information available regarding local districts.  We encourage parents to contact their child’s school directly and stay abreast of school communication regarding this matter as it is vitally important to both our students and volunteers that we all adhere to whatever implementation plan your child’s district and school are utilizing which may differ from district to district, school to school.
